Ms. Anusha A/P Thavarajah was appointed to the Board of the Company on 15 November 2018.

Ms. Anusha’s career in insurance spans over 25 years and began in the UK. She returned to Malaysia in 2002 and went on to hold several leadership roles in AIA Bhd. and ING Insurance Berhad, including as AIA’s Deputy General Manager of Operations, Finance and Actuarial where she played a key role in the successful integration of AIA and ING’s businesses in Malaysia.

She was appointed CEO of AIA Bhd. in June 2015. Prior to becoming CEO, Ms. Anusha was Regional Business Development Director at AIA Group Limited, where she provided strategic leadership to AIA’s businesses in Southeast Asia.

Ms. Anusha holds a First Class Honours in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Birmingham and is also a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, UK.
